SIGIR Student Luncheon: Free Lunch!

Who?

To all student attending SIGIR'15

Where?

At the great "Aula Magnus" of the conference venue (PUC Extension Center), starting at 12:30 hrs

What?

The ACM SIGIR Student Luncheon will be held on the first day of the main part conference on Monday, August 10th. The luncheon is a student-only event that is open to all students. There are flash talks by Nick Belkin (Rutgers); Emine Yilmaz (UCL); and Jaime Teevan (MSR). Leading members of SIGIR will act as "table captains", able to answer any conceivable question you may have, or provide some words of wisdom and advice from accomplished researchers. And of course you can eat a free lunch too!

Some further information:

  • Further details in the full program of the ACM SIGIR Student Luncheon (RSVP).
You donít have to bring this with you to the lunch.
  • We have an estimate of vegetarian or other culinary restrictions based on all SIGIR registrations. If you have specific restrictions that need our attention, than please tell us and we'll try to have the catering arrange it.
  • What to wear? The student lunch is in between sessions, and called a luncheon (formal lunch) due to the speakers and senior researchers as table captains. There is no need to dress up for the SIGIR student luncheon -- better save your best attire for the banquet!
